I was digging through old Hong Kong photos when I realized I actually never got a chance to include this outfit in my summer lookbook video. Rather than letting these photos sadly sit in my harddisk that collects dust in the corner of my room, I decided to upload them. Peace! ✌
Let me just say that this Bangkok trip was the most spontaneous trip I have ever been on. By spontaneous, I mean, hey I just got off work and I'm going to buy a plane ticket since I feel like going to Thailand type of spontaneous. My trip started off with an airplane technical malfunction, which led to interesting cranky passengers vs. flight attendants arguments and a 4 hour flight delay. After dropping off all my luggage at the hotel, I didn't even bother to put on makeup. I took the BTS skytrain and went straight to the oh-so-famous Chatuchak Weekend Market where I ate enough street snacks to last a lifetime. More details:
Another set of photos taken at the Okura Prestige Bangkok before I headed out to do some shopping while I was in Thailand. I'm still having an internal battle with myself because I can't decide whether I want to split my Thailand vlog into two parts or not. Either way, there's still a lot of footage. I should probably get into a habit of not filming every possible thing I see. Oh well.
Originally, the plan was to wait until I finished uploading all my Hong Kong and Thailand vlogs before I post these photos on my blog. I soon realized I should probably upload them asap because I woke up to my lawn being covered in a fresh layer of snow, so uploading photos taken by the infinity pool when it was 30°C outside in Thailand wouldn't make much sense.
It took me quite some time to adjust back to my usual student lifestyle. Hence, the short hiatus on my blog. Fall is here already and that means no more plane rides; no more late night shopping sprees; no more speaking Cantonese everywhere I go. Most importantly, no more slacking! Editing my Hong Kong vlog part II has been an absolute mission. When I imported all the video clips I filmed from the end of July to mid-August, there were over 6 hours of footages. How did I even manage to film so much?! I've been patiently going through every single clip to compress a month of Hong Kong explorations into a few minute video. It is now at the 20 minute mark so I'm hoping to get this video up within a week or so! Stay tuned on my YouTube channel.
I don't remember if I said this in another post but...this has got to be one of my all time favourite photoshoots. While I was in Hong Kong, I went hiking (yes, I went hiking wearing a white dress) and visited the Bride's Pool (新娘潭). I wish I could have taken photos at the actual waterfall but that was not possible due to the weather that day. I don't think it matters too much because the photos turned out really well. I have never done a photoshoot so close to nature and it was refreshing being able to dangle my feet into the water.
If you haven't noticed by now, I love adding a pop of red to my looks. Bold lips can not only complete my outfits, but also make me look more awake and done-up (even if I'm not!) I finally got my hands on these oh so famous skorts while I was in Hong Kong. This is the final look I shot at Langham Place and despite the dim lighting, I really loved how the colourful background lights contrasted my black and white outfit.
